New Florida Renewable Energy Producers Association announces weekly policy meetings during session
Tallahassee- Tallahassee lobbyist Michael Dobson, announce that The Florida Renewable Energy Producers Association is holding what will be its first weekly renewable energy coalition meeting in Tallahassee beginning, March 7th at 8 a.m. at the Hospitality Square at 200 W. College Ave, Tallahassee, Fl 32301. These meetings will be held weekly during the legislative session as a strategy meeting for those focusing on renewable energy policy in Florida.
The Florida Renewable Energy producers Association and its legislative coalition is headed by Michael Dobson who has been involved in renewable energy lobbying for the past few years in Florida .
"What we hope to do is make sure that interested parties are on the same page about what we feel will make Florida a leaders in renewable energy production. We have never gotten together as a group before and when we get to talk, we find that we are all starving to harness the collective knowledge and power of this group. Many of us have been keeping renewable energy policy concerns alive in Florida during a time when it was not on the front pages as it is now, says Michael Dobson."
The two things at the top of our list are Renewable Energy Portfolio Standards (REPS) and incentives for those interested in renewable energy projects in Florida. We need to send a message to the rest of the world that Florida is pro-renewable energy, said Dobson. That is how we attract investment dollars.
